KHI KID is short for Karachi Kid.
Karachi is a city of migrants, a city which is a country to most of us. It is a city which leaves no one untransformed.
Our shirt is a minimal take on this feeling, this movement and this memory that no matter where we are – Karachi is in our hearts.
The simple square green grid on the reverse encompasses three strokes in red, white and blue signifying the βmodernβ world, a colonial past and forced exodus to the west. The box represents our contributions to society, which are invaluable and are beyond these three determining strokes. We remain empowered. We remain in control of our destiny.Β
